OUR CLASSES
Spot On English offers after school classes for Elementary and Middle school students. We provide classes suitable for beginners through advanced levels. A level assessment is made prior to appropriate class allocation.
Classes are held Monday through Friday for Elementary school students. Middle school classes are held on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday evenings.
Adult classes are available for small groups and on a one-on-one basis.
ELEMENTARY LEVEL CLASSES
A Carefully Structured Syllabus and Fun Activities
Classes are limited to a maximum of ten students to ensure everyone gets the attention they deserve. Every day, our students spend time with their native English speaking teacher, and with their Korean teacher. In addition to formal classroom time, part of each day's study involves taking part in more informal activities. Our students spend 90 minutes with us each day.
At Spot On we like to keep busy, using as many different and practical ways as possible for our students to interact in English.
Students are introduced to a range of countries around the world, and are quizzed on what they learn. They get to interpret and use recipes, and get to eat what they produce. They play games, write journals, watch movies, and sing songs. They are always busy, and always using English while they are with us.
MIDDLE SCHOOL CLASSES
A More Intensive Focus on Academic Skills
Middle school classes are also capped at a maximum of ten students, and also spend time with both their native English speaking teacher, and their Korean teacher. Middle school classes are held over a two hour period on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday evenings.
While some informal activities are incorporated into the middle school curriculum, the focus is on preparing for school tests in addition to developing English skills for future use in academic studies and later vocational pursuits. A broad range of materials are used in class in addition to level-appropriate EFL texts and texts specifically designed to prepare our students for the style of school tests they will be encountering in the next few years.
TEXTS
International EFL standards
Spot On students will have classes structured around high quality texts, produced by internationally recognized
publishers.
In elementary level classes these will generally include a main course book, a reading skills text and grammar practice text.
Supplementary materials are provided as required.
